an Erasmus+ Project funded by the European Union
The "Quantum Teaching" (QuTe) project has brought together three teams of researchers working on quantum technologies and three high schools in Europe. The goal was to develop and test material to teach quantum mechanics at the high school level.
In the three volumes that resulted from this project, you can find tested and ready-to-use material to introduce quantum mechanics to your students in the context of quantum computing and quantum technologies. The race to build a quantum computer is one of the technological challenges of this era and related efforts in developing quantum cryptography and building a quantum internet are hot topics in current research. Quantum technologies thus constitute an exciting field that can foster the students' motivation to learn about the fundamental laws of nature and how these apply to real-world problems.
This material combines games, explanations, exercises and experiments to give you and your students an innovative, accessible way of approaching quantum mechanics. General concepts such as vector analysis, matrices, probability theory, atomic structure, etc. can be taught embedded in a motivating, modern context that helps students connect abstract notions to interesting phenomena with useful applications.
Below you can download all the material and start teaching it right away! You can choose to teach all the three volumes or select your favourite one.
