Quantum computation is ultimately a hybrid process. With this in mind, there are many unanswered questions about how these new computing systems will be designed to achieve true quantum advantage in reasonable timescales.
In our group, we focus on addressing challenges in the quantum software stack in order to make quantum computing systems more reliable and scalable. Our goal is to make meaningful contributions to the quantum software stack that optimize program outcomes, increase architecture efficacy, and improve understanding of quantum devices and requirements for computation. QuantA is led by Prof. Kate Smith.
