Quantum Information Processing Systems (QuantIPS 2023)

 26th-27th October 2023

Rice University

A two-day summit of talks on Quantum Processing Systems

 About

The workshop on "Quantum Information Processing Systems" will take place from October 26th to October 27th, 2023, in Houston, USA, at Rice University. To attend both days, it is probably best to arrive on the evening of October 25th.

We expect around 100 participants, both domestic and international researchers in the field of quantum algorithms and computing, quantum simulation and applications of quantum information science. This project has received funding from Rice University as part of the Conference and Workshop Development Fund. The Ken Kennedy Institute generously provided great assistance organizing this workshop.

 Aim of the symposium

This workshop will attempt to shed light on this interaction towards new quantum algorithmic design and applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, new variational quantum methods, understanding the complexity of quantum objectives through classical and quantum complexity theory, new applications of quantum algorithms, as well as new experimental insights using existing quantum-based technologies/hardware. This workshop will bring physicists, chemists, computer scientists, and engineers closer, to facilitate discussions around why tackling quantum-related questions is important.
