Welcome to my website!
Currently I am a Research Fellow in Economics at the Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. I obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) in 2018. My reserach interests include Development Economics, Health and Labour Economics, Chinese Economy and Applied Microeconometrics.
- My paper co-authored with Sefa Churchill has been published by China Economic Review. In this study, we use four waves of longitudinal data from the China Family Panel Studies and examine the effects of income inequality on subjective wellbeing (SWB). We find negative effects of income inequality on SWB. We also find that trust is an important channel through which inequality influences SWB.
- In this working paper, Debdulal Mallick and I employ an innovative method of heteroscedasticity-based identification recently developed by Klein and Vella to identify the causal effect of financial inclusion on household welfare. We find that welfare effects of financial inclusion varied across urban and rural areas and income groups .
