Day 1: Arrival in Swakopmund 

Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, your guide will greet you with a sign displaying your name. You’ll depart for Swakopmund, making a stop at the Okahandja Craft Market to explore local crafts and souvenirs. Arrive in Swakopmund and check in at The Delight Swakopmund, a modern and comfortable accommodation. After settling in, embark on a half-day tour of Sandwich Harbour, a significant wetland and ecosystem located between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. Enjoy the tranquil environment and the opportunity to spot a variety of seabirds and aquatic wildlife. The evening is free for you to enjoy Swakopmund’s colonial charm and laid-back atmosphere. Consider dining at one of the town’s local restaurants or relaxing at your hotel.

Day 2: Journey to Sossusvlei

Following breakfast, begin your drive to Sossusvlei. On the way, stop at Solitaire to taste its famous apple pies (at your own expense) and take photos at the Tropic of Capricorn sign along the Kuiseb Pass. Arrive at Namib Desert Lodge, situated amid striking fossilized dunes. Check in and spend the afternoon at leisure, exploring the lodge's amenities or taking in the desert views. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge.

Day 3: Exploration of Namib Desert Highlights

Start early with a guided tour of Sossusvlei. Your exploration includes visits to: Dune 45: Known for its elegant shape and proximity to the road, making it one of the most photographed dunes in the world.

Deadvlei: An ancient clay pan surrounded by red dunes, featuring blackened, desiccated trees against a white, cracked surface.

Sesriem Canyon: A captivating natural wonder carved by the Tsauchab River, showcasing unique desert flora and fauna.

Return to your lodge in the evening to relax and reflect on your experiences. Enjoy your final dinner in the Namib Desert and prepare for the journey back.

Day 4: Return to Windhoek

After breakfast, start your journey back to Windhoek. Say goodbye to your guide and take with you lasting memories of the breathtaking landscapes and cultural experiences from your Namib Road Trip.
