2014 fall - emmanuelle has created an installation for the launch of UNIQLO's autumn item, "extra fine merino". Beginning from Ginza flagship store then to other global flagship stores, such as Fifth Avenue NY, 311 Oxford Street London, and Paris Opera, it is a simultaneous global art installation in 6 countries to celebrate the beginning of autumn season.
Thin and long colorful threads, representing strands of merino yarn are made into three dimensional volumes that intersect inside the windows with mannequins positioned in between. The installation has started at Ginza flagship store, on the facade and the glass case. Inside the store, the main glass case uses 2,420 threads in 60 shades of colors to create volumes, radiating from the floor to the ceiling. The long thin lines cross and intersect three dimensionally, and the expressions of layered threads change as the view keep shifting. On the facade is a graphic interpretation of the thin merino yarn layered with white graphic lines on the front glass, intended to give depth to the window.
2014 spring - emmanuelle has created an installation for the launch of UNIQLO's spring item, "LINEN". Linen's breathable and cool feelings, its soft and supple texture, were expressed in the installation as the colorful and refreshing spring breeze.
The paper strands in 100 shades of colors are floating and swaying above the mannequins, giving the feel of standing in the spring breeze. The gentle swaying motion of the floating volume of colors is expressing the beginning of new season on the colorful wind.
Beginning from Ginza flagship store then to other flagship stores, like Fifth Avenue NY and 311 Oxford Street London, it is a simultaneous 26 global cities art installation in 8 countries (51 stores).
The installation started at Ginza flagship store, Tokyo on its facade and the glass case. The main glass case uses approximately 2,400 strands of 4.7m long colored paper in 100 shades. For the facade, 100 shades of square paper fill up the 7m high board, where colors seem to float up into the air.

The exhibition will take place in Palazzo Bembo, the historical Venetian Palazzo, standing along the canal in Venice.
The theme of the Biennale, "Fundamentals", has given opportunities to revisit and rethink the elements in architecture. For this occasion, emmanuelle has decided to re-focus on the importance of her design concept of shikiri, by extracting and representing its essence. Shikiri has been adopted its shape and function according to different time and places for every projects designed in the past. Shikiri has evolved overtime. The concept started from surface shikiri elements, and now has developed to line and point elements. The exhibition highlights the surface and line shikiri, focusing from the architectural approaches and perspectives. Shikiri essence will be represented in the form of models, which are in various scales and suspended in various heights in the room. 1,390 surfaces and 12,100 lines are colored in 36 shades of multicolor palettes. While they symbolize structures, they are also the elements composing space through colors. The exhibit let visitors to experience space with three dimensional layering of colors.

Eda, meaning "branch" in Japanese, is a modular product that combines (interlocking to each other / you link to each other) to create spaces. For its 1st presentation at DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2010, emmanuelle designed an installation consisted of 2000 eda, suspending 900 colored one and creating a free-standing structure on the floor with 1100 white one. be457b7860
