For more than eight decades, the Quad Cities Chapter of the Izaak Walton League (a 501c3 nonprofit) has worked to protect the natural resources of the Quad Cities region.
Our mission is to conserve, maintain, protect and restore the soil, forest, water, and other natural resources of the United States and other lands; and to promote means and opportunities for the education of the public with respect to such resources and their enjoyment and wholesome utilization.
We are a local Chapter of the 'IZAAK WALTON LEAGUE OF AMERICA'. We were chartered in 1946. We currently have 60 plus members and have taken part in numerous activities in the Scott County area. We have joined with other organizations toward the Iowa's Water & Land Legacy.
As like-minded conservationists, anglers, hunters, and nature lovers of all walks of life, we work locally to promote our conservation mission.
Our chapter's primary interests are focused on local clean water issues, including watershed and wetlands protection. We advocate sustainable living and encourage outdoor users to protect our valuable natural resources while they continue to enjoy the great outdoors.

To conserve, restore, and promote the sustainable use and enjoyment of our natural resources, including soil, air, woods, waters, and wildlife.
"To strive for the purity of water, the clarity of air, and the wise stewardship of the land and its resources; to know the beauty and understanding of nature and the value of wildlife, woodlands, and open space; to the preservation of this heritage and to all sharing in it. I pledge myself as a member of the Izaak Walton League of America."
