Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-22
Last updated: 2026-05-22
This app is built privacy-first. This page explains exactly what does and doesn't happen with your data when you use the app.
TL;DR
• We don't collect anything. No accounts. No analytics. No tracking. No ads.
• No third-party SDKs. The app uses only Apple-provided frameworks.
• Your library lives in your iCloud. It never reaches our servers — because we don't run any.
• Permissions are used only for the feature you tapped. Camera for scanning, Photos for picking a photo, etc.
1. What data the app handles, and where it lives
a. Data you create inside the app
• QR codes and barcodes you generate, including their style and saved Brand Kits.
• Scanned codes you choose to save.
• App preferences like appearance mode and default error correction level.
This data is stored on your device and, if you're signed into iCloud and you're a Pro subscriber, it syncs through Apple's CloudKit Private Database to your other devices using the same Apple ID. CloudKit data lives in your personal iCloud and we cannot access it. You can delete this data at any time by removing items in the app or by going to iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
b. Data the app reads on demand (only when you ask for it)
• Camera feed — only while the Scan tab is active or when you choose to scan from a photo. Frames are processed entirely on-device by Apple's Vision framework. They are never recorded, uploaded, or persisted.
• Photo library access — only when you tap Pick photo (for logos, backgrounds, or photo scanning). Uses the system PHPicker, which does not require library-wide access.
• Contacts — only when you tap Add to Contacts on a scanned vCard. Uses the system Contact Picker; the app never reads your existing contacts.
• Calendar — only when you tap Add to Calendar on a scanned event. Write-only access; the app cannot read your existing events.
• Wi-Fi configuration — only when you tap Join Wi-Fi on a scanned Wi-Fi code.
We do not retain copies of any of the above. Apple's system frameworks handle the action and the data goes only where you direct it (your contacts list, your calendar, your Wi-Fi settings).
c. Data we do NOT collect or process
• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone, Apple ID)
• Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, advertising IDs)
• Location
• Usage analytics or app event telemetry
• Crash reports beyond Apple's optional system-level crash sharing (which goes to Apple, not us)
• Cookies, web beacons, or fingerprinting
2. Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled entirely by Apple via the App Store and StoreKit 2. We never see your payment details. We do not store or transmit any purchase-related identifiers; entitlement status is read locally from Apple's StoreKit and from the user's own iCloud receipt.
The app shows a paywall in three situations:
a. On launch for free users, with a clearly-marked Close button.
b. When a free user attempts to use a Pro-only feature (e.g. tapping Design, Barcode, or Save).
c. From Settings → Unlock Pro.
Dismissing the paywall does not block any of the free features.
3. Children's privacy
This app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.
4. Tracking and the App Tracking Transparency framework
We do not track users across apps or websites. We do not display the App Tracking Transparency permission prompt, because we have nothing to track.
5. Third parties
We do not share data with anyone, because we don't have any data to share. The app contains no third-party analytics SDKs, ad SDKs, or attribution SDKs.
5a. Compliance with privacy laws
Although we do not collect personal data, we comply with applicable privacy laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK Data Protection Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA), Brazil's LGPD, and similar frameworks worldwide.
Because we do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data:
• Right to access: There is no data we hold to access.
• Right to delete: Your data lives only on your device and your personal iCloud. Delete via the app or iOS Settings as described in §6.
• Right to opt out of sale: We do not sell data — there is nothing to opt out of.
• Right to data portability: Your library exists only as files on your device / your iCloud, which Apple already lets you export.
If you live in a region with additional privacy rights and wish to contact us, email khmannaict@gmail.com.
6. Your rights
Because we don't store your data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete, modify, or export on your behalf. You have full direct control:
• Delete a single item — swipe to delete in the Library tab.
• Delete everything — Settings → ⋯ → Delete all, or delete the app.
• Stop iCloud sync — sign out of iCloud or disable iCloud for this app in iOS Settings.
7. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the new version will replace this one in the app. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's What's New release notes.
