Thank you for choosing QR Reader & Generator ("we," "us," "our"). Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information we interact with, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
By using our app (the "Service"), you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Our Service is designed to be private. The core functions of scanning and creating QR codes happen entirely on your device.
QR Code Data: The contents of QR codes you scan (like website links or text) and the information you use to create new QR codes are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers. Any scan history is also stored locally on your device and is only accessible to you.
Camera Access: The app requires access to your device’s camera to scan QR codes. The camera feed is processed in real-time on your device to find and read a QR code. We do not collect, store, or transmit images or videos from your camera.
While personal information from your QR codes stays on your device, we do collect a limited amount of technical data to help our app work better.
Log and Usage Data
If the app crashes or experiences an error, we automatically collect technical information to help us diagnose and fix the problem. We also collect anonymous usage statistics to understand which features are most popular and how we can improve the app.
This data is collected through third-party services and may include:
Device type and operating system version
An anonymous identifier for your app installation
The time and date of a crash or error
App configuration and performance statistics
This data is used only for improving the app and is not used to personally identify you.
We use services from third-party companies to help us operate and improve our app. These services are essential for functions like crash reporting and basic analytics.
Here are the main third-party services we use:
Google Analytics for Firebase: Helps us understand how users engage with our app so we can make improvements. You can review their privacy policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy
These third parties may use cookies, advertising identifiers, or other trackers to collect information. They are contractually obligated to use this data only to provide their service to us and not for any other purpose.
We value your trust and use commercially reasonable measures to protect the limited information we collect. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
When you scan a QR code, it may contain a link to an external website. If you click on this link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.
Our Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. The only data we collect is the technical Log and Usage Data described above, which is not intended to identify individuals. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information (for instance, through a support request), please contact us. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child, we will take steps to delete that information.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the app (when applicable) and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes.
If you have any questions or suggestions about our Privacy Policy, please do not hesitate to contact us at help@identa-india.com.
