QRay Privacy Policy

1) Who we are
QRay is a QR code scanner and generator app published by GCC Solar Labs / GCC Energy Group.
2) What the app does
- Scan QR codes using the device camera.
- Generate QR codes from user-provided text, URLs, Wi-Fi credentials, contacts, and other content.
- Save generated or scanned codes locally on the device and optionally export/share them as images.
3) Data we collect and process
- We do not collect, transmit, or sell personal data.
- All scan results and generated QR content remain on your device unless you choose to share or export them.
- No accounts are required; no analytics SDKs or ad SDKs are integrated.
4) Permissions used
- Camera: Used only to scan QR codes. The camera feed is processed locally and not sent to servers.
- Storage/Photos/Media (or equivalent platform permission): Used only when you choose to save or export QR images to your device or share them. Denying this permission only disables saving/exporting.
5) How data is stored and retained
- Scan history and generated codes are stored locally on your device (if the feature is enabled). Clearing app data or uninstalling the app removes this local data.
- Exported/saved images are stored in your device’s gallery or file system and remain there until you delete them.
6) Sharing of data
- We do not share data with third parties.
- Sharing/exporting is user-initiated; only the selected QR image/content you choose to share is sent via the destination app/service you select.
7) Children’s privacy
- QRay is not directed to children under the age required by local law for consent to data processing. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8) Security
- All processing of QR scans and generation occurs locally on your device.
- No remote servers are used for scanning or generation, reducing exposure of your data.
9) Your choices and controls
- You may deny camera permission; scanning will be disabled while other features remain available.
- You may deny storage/photos permission; saving/exporting QR images will be disabled while scanning/generation remain available.
- To remove local data, clear the app’s data/cache or uninstall the app. Manually delete any previously exported images from your gallery/file system.
10) Changes to this policy
- We may update this policy to reflect app changes or legal requirements. The latest version will be available with the app.
