Devoze ("we", "us", or "our") built the QR Scanner & Generator app as an offline-first utility application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This app does NOT collect, track, store, or sell any personal data to remote servers or third parties.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
Personal Data: We do not require account registration, names, phone numbers, or email addresses.
Location Data: We never access or track your GPS or physical location.
Remote Telemetry: No user analytics or advertising profiling trackers are used.
3. How Camera & Device Data is Used
Camera Access (android.permission.CAMERA):
Used solely in real-time to focus and scan QR codes and barcodes. Camera frames are processed on-device in temporary memory using Google ML Kit and are never recorded, saved, or uploaded.Local Storage (android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older Android):
Used only when you manually choose to save an exported QR image file to your device's photos/gallery folder.Scan History:
All scanned and generated QR codes are stored strictly in your phone’s internal secure storage (Room Database). You can delete this history at any time.
4. Third-Party Libraries
Google ML Kit Barcode Scanning: Runs entirely offline on your physical hardware to read barcodes securely.
Google Play Services: Used strictly for app delivery and core OS compatibility.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our application does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13, adhering strictly to Google Play Families Policy and COPPA.
