QR Scan Easy ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our QR code scanning application available on Google Play Store.
Information We Do NOT Collect
QR Scan Easy is designed with privacy in mind. We do not:
Collect personal information
Track your location
Access your contacts
Monitor your scanning activity
Share data with third parties
Store data on external servers
Display advertisements
Use analytics services
Require account creation or login
Information Stored Locally
The app stores the following information ONLY on your device:
QR codes you scan are saved locally on your device
This history never leaves your device
You can delete this history at any time through the app
Clearing app data removes all stored history
QR codes you create are saved to your device's Pictures folder
These images remain under your control
No copies are sent to external servers
QR Scan Easy requires minimal permissions to function:
Camera Permission (Required)
Purpose: To scan QR codes and barcodes
Usage: Only active when you're using the scanning feature
Data Access: Camera feed is processed locally and never recorded or transmitted
Storage Permission (Optional - Android 9 and below)
Purpose: To save generated QR codes to your device
Usage: Only when you choose to save a generated QR code
Data Access: Write-only to Pictures/QRScanEasy folder
Photo/Media Permission (Optional - Android 10+)
Purpose: To save generated QR codes to your gallery
Usage: Only when you choose to save a generated QR code
Data Access: Limited to saving images you create
QR Scan Easy uses Google ML Kit for barcode scanning:
ML Kit processes images locally on your device
No images or scan data are sent to Google servers
Processing happens entirely offline
All data remains on your device
No network communication for core features
No external data transmission
No cloud backup of scan history
You maintain full control over your data
QR Scan Easy does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. The app does not collect personal information from any users.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
To delete all app data:
Go to Settings > Apps > QR Scan Easy > Storage
Tap "Clear Data" or "Clear Storage"
Or simply uninstall the app
All locally stored scan history will be permanently deleted.
You have complete control over your data:
Delete scan history anytime within the app
Clear all app data through device settings
Uninstall the app to remove all associated data
No account or personal information to manage
