If you want open-ear comfort and long listening sessions for work from home, choose QJF Open Ear Earbuds; if you need compact earbuds for side sleeping and a discreet in-ear fit, choose NVXMANIYK Ultra-Mini Sleep Earbuds.
For calls and background awareness, QJF’s hook-style design is the more work-oriented fit.
For white noise, ASMR, or listening while lying on your side, NVXMANIYK’s tiny half-in-ear design is the more natural match.
• QJF’s biggest strength: Open-ear hooks keep the ear canal uncovered, with up to 50 hours of total playtime listed. Trade-off: the open design does not create the enclosed fit some listeners want for sleep or focused listening.
• NVXMANIYK’s biggest strength: A compact half-in-ear shape is designed with side sleepers in mind. Trade-off: its listed total playtime is 30 hours, and its individual charge is up to five hours.
• QJF connectivity and controls: Bluetooth 5.4, touch controls, and a stated range of up to 50 feet. Trade-off: an open fit leaves more of your surroundings audible.
• NVXMANIYK connectivity and controls: Bluetooth 6.0, touch controls, and a stated range of 10 meters. Trade-off: its design sits in the ear, unlike QJF’s ear-hook placement.
• Choose QJF for work calls, everyday wear, and workouts where awareness matters; choose NVXMANIYK for sleep sounds, ASMR, and a small profile suited to lying on your side.
QJF’s defining feature is its open-ear hook. The earbuds rest outside the ear canal rather than sealing it, which can appeal to people who find traditional in-ear designs uncomfortable. The hook is described as flexible and lightweight, with a fit intended for small ears and all-day wear, including alongside glasses. For someone moving between a video call, household tasks, and a quick walk, that open placement may feel less isolating than a sealed earbud.
For work from home, the listed microphone is intended to improve voice clarity on calls, while touch controls cover functions such as volume and answering calls. Bluetooth 5.4 and a stated wireless range of up to 50 feet provide a practical setup for moving around a room without staying beside a connected device. The product information gives a battery average of 48 hours, while the feature description says up to 50 hours of total playtime with the charging case. Those figures describe different listings, so I would treat the case figure as the advertised total rather than assume one uninterrupted workday amount.
The IP54 rating is specified as protection against sweat and light rain, and the secure hook is presented as suitable for activities such as running and cycling. That gives QJF a broader everyday-and-exercise role than a sleep-focused earbud. Still, open-ear listening is a compromise: it keeps the canal open, but it is not the same kind of enclosed listening experience as an in-ear design. I would not choose this model on the assumption that it blocks surrounding sound like a sealed headset.

Who should skip QJF: Skip it if your main priority is a tiny earbud that sits unobtrusively inside the ear for sleeping on your side.
NVXMANIYK takes the opposite approach. Its ultra-compact half-in-ear earbuds are described as feather-light, at 0.1 ounce per bud, and designed to sit discreetly in the ear. The central use case is listening in bed, especially for side sleepers who want white noise or ASMR without a bulky earphone pressing against the pillow. The small form is also relevant for quiet listening while commuting, travelling, or working.
Battery life is more limited per charge than QJF’s advertised total. NVXMANIYK lists up to five hours of continuous playback per charge and up to 30 hours with the case; its product information gives an average battery life of four hours. That makes the case important if you expect to use the buds beyond one listening stretch. For a bedtime routine, a few hours may cover a period of falling asleep, but the stated figures do not establish that playback will continue throughout an entire night.
Bluetooth 6.0, touch controls, and a stated 10-meter range cover the basics for a compact wireless set. The product sheet identifies passive noise cancellation, which is different from active noise cancellation: the data does not say that the earbuds use electronic cancellation to counter outside noise. IPX5 water resistance is described for sweat and splashes, and the case has a rotating capsule design that doubles as a fidget toy. That case adds a distinctive work or travel detail, though the earbuds’ defining advantage remains their small in-ear profile rather than an open, surroundings-aware fit.
Who should skip NVXMANIYK: Skip it if you want an open-ear hook, a stated 50-hour total-playtime figure, or a fit designed to keep the ear canal uncovered.
• Best for work from home calls → QJF. Its feature description specifically mentions a microphone intended to improve voice clarity for calls, plus touch controls for answering.
• Best for hearing your surroundings → QJF. Its open-ear construction leaves the ear canal uncovered, a useful design choice when you want to remain more aware of nearby activity.
• Best for side sleeping → NVXMANIYK. Its ultra-mini half-in-ear form is specifically designed for a less bulky feel when lying on your side.
• Best for white noise and ASMR → NVXMANIYK. Those listening situations are explicitly associated with its sleep-focused design.
• Best for longer total listening between case charges → QJF. The feature description lists up to 50 hours total, compared with NVXMANIYK’s up to 30 hours.
• Best for a compact in-ear profile → NVXMANIYK. QJF’s hooks sit outside the ear canal, while NVXMANIYK’s buds are described as discreet and nearly invisible.
• Best for workouts in sweat or light rain → Either, with different ratings. QJF lists IP54 protection; NVXMANIYK lists IPX5. Both are described as suited to sweat or some exposure to water, but their rating systems should not be treated as identical.
• Best for a listener who dislikes conventional in-ear earbuds → QJF. Its open-ear hooks are designed for people who find traditional earbuds uncomfortable, while NVXMANIYK still uses an in-ear placement.
Buying Considerations
Think about the environment you want to hear. QJF’s open design is a sensible match for home tasks, walking, or cycling when some awareness of the room or surroundings is welcome. NVXMANIYK’s passive noise cancellation and in-ear placement are more aligned with contained listening, though the available information does not quantify how much outside sound either model reduces. Neither should be treated as a substitute for a dedicated noise-isolating headset based on these details alone.
Battery figures also need context. QJF’s feature description says up to 50 hours with the case, while its product information lists a 48-hour average battery life. NVXMANIYK lists up to five hours per charge and 30 hours in total, alongside a four-hour average in the product information. The sheet does not resolve those differences, so the useful comparison is that QJF has the larger stated total and NVXMANIYK emphasizes a compact sleep-oriented form.
Finally, consider what “noise cancelling” means in your decision. QJF’s listing includes active noise cancellation in its controls information, while NVXMANIYK lists passive noise cancellation. The data does not give a detailed noise-cancellation performance comparison, and QJF’s open-ear design makes it especially important not to assume it will behave like closed, over-ear headphones. If your search is for active noise cancelling bone conduction headphones for work from home, note that neither product is described as bone conduction. They are air-conduction/open-ear and in-ear designs, respectively. For people comparing head phones for work from home, QJF’s call-oriented microphone and open fit are the more relevant details; the phrase best noise cancelling headset for work from home is not enough on its own to establish that either model will block background noise.
I would choose QJF for work from home because its open-ear hooks, call-focused microphone, and longer stated total playtime make it the more flexible everyday option.
It also suits listeners who want to keep their ear canals uncovered and stay more aware of the room.
I’d choose NVXMANIYK instead if side sleeping, white noise, or a discreet half-in-ear fit is the deciding need.
My overall pick is QJF, but only for someone whose priorities match an open-ear design rather than strong sound isolation.
