For my undergraduate education, I joined IISER Mohali in 2007. I was among the first batch of students to join for the integrated BS MS programme. I received my BS MS in Physics from IISER Mohali in July, 2012.
About Phd
I continued for my PhD from IISER Mohali under the guidance of Prof. Arvind. I received my PhD degree in March, 2021. My PhD thesis was titled “Continuous variable Gaussian and non-Gaussian states: Estimation, nonlocality and quantum key distribution”. I worked on quantum state tomography, quantum process tomography, quantum nonlocality and quantum key distribution during my PhD.
Post PhD experiences
I was a Research Associate at IISER Mohali from March 2021 to September 2023.
My current research interests are
• Generation of non-Gaussian states with exotic properties
• Advantage of non-Gaussian states in quantum metrology, quantum key distribution, and quantum teleportation
• Statistical mechanics and quantum thermodynamics
I have mentored several undergraduate students during PhD and wrote several papers. I would like to especially mention a quantum heat engine paper published in Physical Review E, with undergraduate students only.
If you are interested in collaboration on a topic of mutual interest, you are most welcome. Please send me an email.
