Welcome to QIO at Tamkang University

About us

We are a theoretical research group focusing on quantum information theory and its applications in quantum photonics systems. Our vision is to bridge the gap between theoretical quantum information and experimental quantum physics, in particular quantum optics.

Taipei, June 30, 2023

The NL-TW consortium in photonic quantum computing held its kick-off meeting in Taipei, marking an exciting collaboration between the Netherlands and Taiwan.

Led by experts in quantum photonics and computing, the consortium aims to advance photonic quantum computing with integrated technologies. Dutch participants include Dr. Jelmer Renema and Dr. Michiel de Dood from the University of Twente and industrial partners Quix, Single Quantum, and Delft Circuit. Taiwanese participants include Dr. Jun-Yi Wu from Tamkang University and co-PIs Prof. Rui-Kuang Lee, Prof. Ming-Chang Lee, and Prof. Yen-Hung Chen from National Tsing Hua University and National Central University.

The consortium plans to pool resources and expertise to accelerate the development of photonic quantum computing and lead the field toward universal applications.
