I am a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at Yale University, where I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Andre Wibisono. Prior to Yale, I obtained my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mathematics from Sun Yat-sen University. During my master’s, I worked as a remote researcher advised by Prof. Ashia Wilson at MIT.

My research lies broadly in optimization, statistics and machine learning. I focus on developing provably effective and efficient algorithms for sampling (MCMC) and optimization with applications to modern machine learning problems. I am also interested in the theory of generative modeling, especially the role of optimization and sampling in understanding and improving model performance.
