We built the QCurve Music Player app as a Freemium application. The app is available to download and use for free with a limited feature set, while offering optional in-app purchases to unlock advanced premium capabilities. QCurve Music Player is primarily an offline, local audio player. To provide our core features, the app requires certain permissions, but we are committed to minimizing data collection.
Local Device Storage: The app requires read access to your device's local storage (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) to scan, organize, and play your downloaded audio files. We do not upload, sync, or transmit your personal music library, audio files, or playlists to any external servers. All audio processing and equalization happens entirely on your device.
Network Access (Album Artwork & AutoEQ): The app uses your device's internet connection to fetch high-resolution album artwork (via third-party APIs such as the iTunes Search API) and to retrieve AutoEQ headphone profiles. These requests pass standard metadata (like artist or track name) to find the correct images or profiles, but are not linked to your personal identity.
While we do not collect personal data directly, QCurve Music Player integrates with third-party services that may collect information used to identify you to provide core functionality and monetization.
