QCP2021 Workshop on Constraint Solving and Quantum Computing
WHEN: October 25, 2021 (9AM EST / 3PM GMT+2) @ CP2021 | WHERE: Attendance is virtual and registration is free (REGISTER HERE)
Description:
The past decade has brought with it the first commercially available quantum devices, as well as a flurry of research in the area of quantum computing. The QCP2021 Workshop on Constraint Solving and Quantum Computing intends to bring together members of the CP community that are interested in exploring the intersection of quantum computing and constraint solving. The workshop will have a combination of invited speakers and presentations based on submitted abstracts.
QCP2021 is part of the workshop program of the international conference CP2021.
Relevant topics:
Classical constraint solving for quantum computing applications (e.g., quantum circuit compilation, quantum gate synthesis, quantum chip embedding)
Quantum computing approaches for solving constraint satisfaction/optimization problems (e.g., heuristics, search, hybrid approaches, application-based work)
Invited speakers:
Ryan LaRose, Michigan State University
Robert Wille, Johannes Kepler University Linz
Ashley Montanaro, University of Bristol
Mark Hodson, Rigetti Computing
Organizing committee:
Kyle E. C. Booth, Quantum AI Lab, NASA Ames Research Center
Eleanor Rieffel, Quantum AI Lab, NASA Ames Research Center
Bryan O'Gorman, IBM
