We were delighted to learn that GSLIS alumna, Selina Sharmin received a volunteer award from the White House in August 2021. She volunteered online to the organization Farah Delency Foundation which is a part of Unite Nation Women Forum and this Foundation coordinated with White House and one of the occasion of the Global Women Forum Empowerment Symposium. She was awarded and received this award at the Millenium UN Plaza Hotel in August 2021.
