Sandy León has been chosen to participate in the Association for Library Service to Children Mentoring Program. Sandy briefly commented that her hopes for the program are "to deepen my understanding of children's librarianship with a more established librarian as well as brainstorm with them about ideas for programming (particularly art-based programming), outreach, and giving back to our communities."
She is already praising her growing relationship with her mentor and she is especially interested open up her knowledge about library practice since her mentor does not work in NY. They have been already sharing storytime tips. While chatting with Sandy, she really encouraged other GSLIS students to apply to this program.
