GSLIS is proud to share the good news of Rebecca Rodd's duel scholarships.

Rebecca Rodd Rebecca has been selected as the first recipient of the newly established NYLA-NYBLC Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship. This scholarship provides up to $1000 to underwrite her participation in the NYLA Annual Conference, for registration, lodging and travel. She will be attending the conference, which will be held in Saratoga Springs from November 8 - 11.

Rebecca has also been selected as the recipient of the Donna Hoke Scholarship through the New York Black Librarians Caucus. The Donna Hoke Scholarship was established by the New York Black Librarians’ Caucus Inc. to encourage students of African descent to enter the field of librarianship. She will be presented with her award ($1000) at the upcoming NYBLC Librarians Ball being held on November 18. 2017 at the Alhambra Ballroom in Harlem.
