Congratulations to our GSLIS alumni Natalie Milbrodt and Lori Wallach, whose “Queens Memory Project” has been profiled in a brand new book from ALA Editions, Archives Alive: Expanding Engagement with Public Library Archives and Special Collections (http://archivesalive.net/). Their article appeared on pp. 273-277 of chapter 9, Oral History and Community Documentation Projects.
Natalie Milbrodt is a 2011 graduate of the GSLIS program; she earned the MLS and Certificate in Archives & Preservation of Cultural Materials. She is associate coordinator of metadata services at Queens Library in addition to being the director of Queens Memory. Lori Wallach is a 2014 graduate of GSLIS and have the same degree and certificate as Natalie. She is Queens Memory Outreach Coordinator at Queens College. The Queens Memory site is at queensmemory.org
