Marissa Wolfe, a GSLIS student recently spoke on a panel for NYC Comic Con’s professional day targeted for librarians and teachers. The discussion was about collection development and reader’s advisory for teens. The panel, ”Beyond Harry Potter and Percy Jackson: Great Middle Grade and Tween Fantasy Book,” was a great success, drawing in an audience of over 60 people. The organizer of the panel has put out a website which showcases the highlights and book recommendations from the 2013 Comic Con presentation.
Marissa Wolfe has just been hired as a reviewer of School Library Journal as well as Robin Brenner’s website No Flying No Tights. Congratulations!
