Scientific Presentations

Demonstration:

Presentations that show how to apply and use new method, technique, or concept. The abstract should describe how the presenter will walk attendees through a clear, step-by-step explanation, how it compares to others available, its strengths and weaknesses, and how it can best be applied.

Ignite Presentation:

Presentation that use 20 PowerPoint slides that automatically advance every 15 seconds for a total presentation time of just 5 minutes.

Case Study:

A qualitative research method aims to examine contemporary real-life situations and provide the basis for the application of ideas and extension of methods.  

Research-in-Progress:

Presentation about your ongoing research. Receiving feedback from other researchers (i.e. students, postdocs, faculty); also questions and discussions provide technical solutions and help bring new ideas to current research. 

Abstract:

A brief summary of a research article, thesis, review..etc.

Spotlight Talk

Alumni Talk:

MRI alumni return to the institute to talk to current students, share their career paths, offering insight, and introducing their workplaces to students. 

International Students Talk:

International students talk gives you an insight to cultural diversity and challenges that might face new international students along with appropriate guidance.
