QALock Privacy Policy

QALock (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a flashcard learning and app-locking productivity app. This Privacy Policy explains how QALock handles information when you use the app.
1. Information QALock handles
QALock is designed to work primarily on your device. The app may store the following information locally on your device:
• flashcard files and cards you import or create;
• card questions, answers, wrong-answer options, and optional question images;
• learning statistics such as correct/wrong answers, accuracy, streaks, and study progress;
• app-lock settings, selected monitored apps, usage limits, skip limits, task mode, and related preferences;
• language, download-folder preference, and other app settings;
• Google Play Billing purchase status for Premium access.
This information is used to provide the app’s core features: studying cards, showing learning tasks, importing/exporting study files, and controlling Premium features.
2. Accessibility Service
QALock uses Android Accessibility Service only to detect when selected apps are opened and to show a learning lock screen for those selected apps.
QALock does not use Accessibility Service to read, collect, store, or share passwords, messages, typed text, screen content, contacts, photos, or other personal data.
3. Usage Access
QALock may request Usage Access permission to identify which selected app is currently being used and to apply app-lock rules such as usage limits and temporary access.
QALock does not use Usage Access to collect or sell personal data.
4. Files, cards, and images
Your imported files, manually created cards, and question images are stored on your device. QALock does not upload your flashcards, images, answers, or study files to our servers.
If you choose to share or export files, the files are shared only through the Android share/download action that you select.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are handled by Google Play Billing. QALock receives purchase status from Google Play to unlock Premium features. We do not collect or store your payment card number or full payment details.
6. Data sharing
QALock does not sell your personal data. QALock does not share your flashcards, answers, images, or app-lock settings with third parties.
Google Play may process purchase and subscription information according to Google’s own policies when you buy Premium through Google Play.
7. Internet and servers
QALock does not require an account and does not use a QALock server to store your study data.
8. Children
QALock is intended as a general productivity and learning tool. It is not specifically directed to children. Users should only use the app in accordance with the age requirements and policies of Google Play in their region.
9. Data deletion
You can delete files and cards inside the app. You can also reset study statistics and download-folder choices in Settings. You may remove all locally stored app data by uninstalling QALock or clearing the app’s storage in Android system settings.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes. The updated version will be posted at the same privacy policy URL with a new effective date.
