Q-PHORIA

The goal of this annual conference started in 2023 is to bring condensed matter, quantum information and AMO physicists from geographically proximate institutions in the greater Pennsylvania and Ohio region together in to forge new collaborations and stimulate existing ones. Recent years have seen significant new faculty hires in ‘quantum physics’ in many of these universities. Bringing people together in the same room will not only allow for a vibrant exchange of ideas, but also pave the path towards sustained cumulative efforts to solve pressing problems in the discipline. In addition to talks by faculty, an essential part will be short talks and posters presented by postdoctoral fellows and graduate students, enabling them to showcase their research as well as connect with each other and with faculty, thereby building professional networks crucial to their careers.
