Pyramid purchases Used Beverage Cans, only the aluminum type, for recycling at our SHOP 1 location.

Mr. Brown iced coffee cans and some other beverage cans from various Asian countries are STEEL. Most canned food containers are also steel. Not sure if the can is aluminum or steel? Take a magnet to it. If it sticks, it's steel. If it does not, it is most likely aluminum. Pyramid will accept steel cans for recycling, but will only purchase the aluminum cans. They must be pre-sorted before we can accept them. Please empty, clean out and if possible, crush cans beforehand. We do accept aluminum food trays for recycling as well, but all food remnants must be cleaned off prior to our receiving them. We do not accept any plastic/trash bags or cardboard boxes used to transport items as they will be emptied into one of our bins upon arrival and weighed at the scale. Customers will be paid per kilogram. Plastic bags may not be disposed at our site. We encourage you to try to reuse these bags or to use reusable containers for transport instead.
