Welcome to the 2023 Paso Verde School PTA Puma Patch!
The Puma Patch is where our scholars are able to shop for gifts for their friends and loved ones. It's just like going to the store. They get to choose what item they'd like to purchase and for whom. It's a great way for our scholars to pick a gift to surprise their friends and loved ones or to give to a new friend while learning how to budget and spend money. It's also a great opportunity for the PTA to raise funds to benefit our school.
How it works: Parents and guardians of TK-K graders fill out the sales envelope sent home from school and place money into the envelope. For example, $5 (check made to "Paso Verde School PTA" or cash only). Label the scholar's name and teacher and turn it in to their teacher by beginning of class. Scholars in the 1st -8th grade should bring money to school and they will be able to shop during their selected class time, before school, or on select days after school.
Scholars will have a chance to look at the items for sale in the store. Please note, the items listed are a sample of items and some items may be sold out by the time your scholar shops. On the day the class is scheduled to shop, scholars go and choose their items with the help of volunteers. Scholars will also be able to shop before and select days after school when the Puma Patch is open (dates and times will vary so check the schedule). Items start in price at $0.25 so there is something for everyone in a wide price range. Scholars will also be able to use scholar dollars earned from their teacher to purchase select items.
Help needed: As you can imagine, our younger scholars need help shopping and handling money, so parent volunteers are much appreciated! We also need volunteers to help stock items and run the register during shopping time. Please sign up to help make this event a success. The store will not be open on days we don't have enough volunteers to assist
We hope scholars have fun shopping. Buy a gift for a friend or give to your family! This is a great tradition, and we know you'll have as much fun receiving the gift as the scholar does picking it out!

Lost your Sign-Up Envelope? No problem! You can print out another one to fill out and send to your teacher. Make sure you label your scholar's name/teacher and insert the money into the envelope (check made to "Paso Verde School PTA" or cash only).
Check out the class shopping times and open volunteer slots. Please consider volunteering, especially since younger scholars tend to need more help shopping. Fun events like these are possible only with your help!
