PV High School
Grad Night 2019
What is Grad Night?
Grad Night offers PV Seniors a chance to celebrate their success and have fun with their friends in a "safe and sober" atmosphere.
It takes place after the graduation ceremony, beginning at 10:00 pm and ending at 4:00 am at Cal Skate. This event is very popular with the vast majority of seniors and features plenty of entertainment, tons of prizes, games, attractions, music, and food galore!
Grad Night is funded solely by ticket sales, private donations and substantial community support.
Dear PV Class of 2019 and Class of 2020 families,
Sober Grad Night is exactly one month from today (May 6, 2019) and we need your help to make this night one that our seniors will never forget! Be sure that your SENIOR has purchased a ticket so they don’t miss out on this fabulous event. Tickets are $70 until the day of the event, when they go up to $80. This year it has been particularly difficult to secure donations due to the overwhelming need created by the Camp Fire. Many businesses have indicated that their donation budget is simply tapped out for the year. While we completely understand prioritizing such a catastrophic event, we also would like to ensure that every senior that attends walks out with a smile...and some great prizes!
We realize that for some families, helping out on the night of the event is impossible. We are asking that every SENIOR family that is not able to help with the event itself secure at least one prize. This might be a gift card that your family purchases and donates or it could be a prize you solicit from a local business that you frequent. It could also be a cash donation. These items can be brought to the PV office to be placed in the Sober Grad box. (Here is a link to the donation letter that you can use if you would like to solicit a business: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4WDwC4ZqWh-Q0V6M3otVFN5VkZzZXFRckROQV9iQlRWbkZ3/view )
Junior parents, we also need your help! JUNIOR parents can step up and “pay it forward” by helping out with the early volunteer shifts, which allows the senior families to visit with family for a bit and then take over for the “graveyard” shifts. This early help ensures that the event runs smoothly. Having worked this event several times, I can promise you it is so much fun you just may want to stay past the end of your shift! Finally, don’t forget to have your 11x14 Senior Collage printed and delivered to the PV office no later than June 1st. One of the kids’ favorite things is to walk down the line and see all the baby photos of their friends. Thank you in advance for all of your help in making PV Sober Grad 2019 a fantastic night for our seniors!

HOW PARENTS CAN HELP...
*Planning committee: The planning committee meets regularly (the 2nd Tuesday of the month) at PV High room L-1. We always need extra help and look for new ideas. Please help us if you can and bring a friend along!
*Volunteer at Grad Night: This party requires approximately 200 parent volunteers! A variety of shifts and jobs are available and it's actually lots of fun. Many parents end up staying past their shift! Click on the Volunteer link to connect to this year's "Sign Up Genius".
*Financial Contribution: You are welcome to donate monetarily to Grad Night. Please see the designated space on the ticket form. Thank you in advance!
