About the workshop

This Workshop is dedicated to Prof. Paul Van Dooren on the occasion of his seventy-fifth birthday. 

Paul Van Dooren received many honors and awards, including the IBM Belgium Informatics Award in 1974, the Householder Award in 1981, the SIAM Wilkinson Prize in Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing in 1989 and the Hans Schneider Prize in Linear Algebra in 2016. He is a Fellow of IEEE and of SIAM. He received the Francqui Chair in Antwerp in 2010 and a “Cátedra de Excelencia” of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2013, 2018 and in 2020. 

The purpose of the meeting is to bring together Colleagues who have been collaborating with Prof. Van Dooren  throughout his professional career, enjoying his kind personality and generosity in sharing many original ideas. 

Topics of the Workshop are, but not limited to,  Numerical Linear Algebra, Numerical Analysis, Systems and Control Theory, Scientific Computing, Networks and Graphs.
