At the moment I'm playing a bit with the PushBullet API. I can send notifications, create new devices and so on but the only thing I can't is receive messages. I have created a web application and have created a new device over the pushbullet API but now if I send a notification to this device my web application is not informed about that. Of course I also need a handler method for this. Do you have any ideas how I can implement this in my application?

So, powered on tonight, and pushbullet is spamming me to death, re-opening windows etc. It was installed in /opt. Not found with pacman, so I did the only sensible thing which was rm -r /opt/pushbullet*

If I were you if the source code isn't available on sites such as github were you can't access the source code - then I would be wary. I did do some searches about pushbullet and several sites mention that virus checkers picked the .exe version as a deadly virus and it apparently picked it up as a virus on several popular virus checkers - did you try the linux equivalent like clamav and do a system check? If clamav picks it up as a virus then you'll probably need to reinstall archlinux and start fresh if the virus can't be removed..... And I would change your passcodes to your accounts if you use the same passcode for every site which is not safe just to be safe....

Hi,

Just installed the pushbullet node (unusually, it's marked as maintained by @knolleary & @dceejay)

The receive node appears to reset NodeRed (It goes unavailable for 30 seconds) on certain results such as

"TypeError: Cannot read property 'title' of undefined".

It looks like pushbullet does a lot of things, what are you looking for specifically? There has been some discussion recently about Pushover which I am considering rolling into my notification suite since it exposes a simple API to send messages.

note: I just tried pushover and I might stay with pushbullet as it has a bunch of free features (chrome extension, ability to send file, etc). PushOver might have similar feature, but paying $4.99 per device rather overkill for personal use

Ah yes, I meant, per platform. But again, why pay if the free one from pushbullet works?

Anyway, does not matter, this thread is not for toolset comparisons after all it's a democracy - you can choose whichever suits you ff782bc1db
