ABOUT US
Founded in 1964, the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre is one of the world's leading sanctuaries dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned and displaced orangutans. Located within the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve in Sabah, Malaysia, the centre provides a natural rainforest environment where orangutans are trained to survive in the wild before being released. The sanctuary is managed by the Sabah Wildlife Department and plays a key role in conservation, research, and public education.
