# PureShield Privacy Policy

Thank you for choosing PureShield (package name: com.pureshield.app), developed and operated by Cheng Zhen Net ("we", "us", "our"). Protecting your privacy is fundamental to how we built this App. This document describes, in plain language, what information the App handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.
By installing or using PureShield, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

## 1. Our Core Privacy Commitment
PureShield works as an on-device toolkit. Your files, photos, documents, and cleaning activity are processed **locally on your device** and are never uploaded to us. We run no servers that receive your personal content, and the App requires no account, registration, or login of any kind.
The only data that leaves your device is limited advertising and diagnostic information collected directly by our advertising partners, explained in Section 3.

## 2. What the App Processes on Your Device
To make its features work, PureShield reads and processes the following information locally. None of it is transmitted to us:
- **Junk data** — caches, residual files, and obsolete files, used by Junk Cleaner and Large Files.
- **Installed app list** — app names, package names, and sizes, used by App Manager and leftover detection.
- **Photos, videos, audio, and documents** — used by Image Compressor, Duplicate Media, Photo Recovery, PDF to Image, and Media Browser.
- **Device status** — memory, battery, storage, and network status, used by Boost, Battery, Speed Test, and the device health display.
- **Text you type into tools** — used by QR Generator and Unit Converter.
- **Files you choose to transfer** — used by Send / Receive over direct device-to-device Wi-Fi.

## 3. Advertising Partners and Data They Collect
PureShield is free because it shows ads. Ads are delivered through the TopOn mediation platform and its partner networks: **Google AdMob, Pangle, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, and Smartdigimkttech**.
These partners operate independently and may automatically collect:
- **Device identifiers**, including the Android Advertising ID (AAID);
- **Network information**, including IP address, from which approximate location may be derived;
- **Ad interaction events**, such as impressions and clicks;
- **The installed app list** on your device, used for ad targeting and fraud prevention;
- **Telephony identifiers**, such as phone number, which certain partners access for fraud prevention and ad measurement;
- **Crash logs and diagnostics**, used to maintain ad delivery stability.
We do not control how these partners use the data they collect. Their own privacy policies apply:

## 4. Permissions Explained
Every permission PureShield requests maps to a concrete feature. Nothing is requested "just in case":
- **MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (All files access)** — Junk cleaning, large-file detection, and photo recovery require scanning and deleting files throughout shared storage. Files are deleted only after you confirm.
- **READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / VIDEO / AUDIO** — Lets the App work with your photos, videos, audio, and documents for compression, duplicate detection, recovery, and browsing.
- **QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES** — The App Manager must see the full installed app list to show sizes, support uninstall, and identify orphaned leftovers.
- **PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS** — Shows per-app storage footprint and usage details.
- **REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES** — Opens the system uninstall confirmation for apps you select. The App never removes anything silently.
- **GET_PACKAGE_SIZE** — Reports accurate app sizes.
- **KILL_BACKGROUND_PROCESSES** — Powers one-tap memory boost for processes you choose to stop.
- **ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION** — Android mandates this permission for discovering nearby devices over Wi-Fi. It is used **only** for the Send / Receive file transfer feature. PureShield never reads, stores, or transmits your geographic location.
- **ACCESS_WIFI_STATE / CHANGE_WIFI_STATE / NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES** — Creates the direct Wi-Fi link between two devices during file transfer.
- **INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE** — Delivers ads and runs the network speed test.
- **POST_NOTIFICATIONS** — Optional local alerts about completed cleanups or transfers; switchable at any time in system settings.
- **WAKE_LOCK** — Prevents interruptions during lengthy transfers or scans.

## 5. Features With Special Privacy Notes
**File Transfer (Send / Receive).** Files move straight from one device to another over a local hotspot or Wi-Fi Direct connection. There is no relay, cloud, or intermediate server involved.
**Photo Recovery.** Scanning for recoverable images happens entirely on-device; restored photos are saved to a folder you select and never leave your phone.

## 6. How Long Data Is Kept
We keep nothing — your personal content never reaches us.
Advertising data is retained by the ad partners under their own policies and is tied only to your device's Advertising ID, not to who you are. You can sever that link whenever you want:

## 7. Children's Privacy
PureShield is not designed for or directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly gather personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal data through the App.

Your personal content stays on your device, protected by the device's own security model. Advertising partners transmit their data using industry-standard encryption.

We may revise this policy as the App evolves. The "Last Updated" date above will always reflect the current version, and continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
