Hi there!
Let’s talk about something that bothers many of us:
Why do some people buy apartments at 19, while you’re still stuck as a broke student?
Do they get rich starting from $1? Is that a myth or reality? Let's figure it out together.
👉 And hey, don’t forget to support our indie manga project "Witch’s Pie" — a powerful story about honesty vs trickery. Which side will you choose?
As you might know, I work as a freelance illustrator in the art niche.
My clients usually need quick and cheap visuals, like illustrations for $10–100 or pay $5–10/hour for an artist.
I'm tired of that.
So I decided to build my own brand.
Right now, I’m in between jobs again. My usual freelance clients often chased the same ghost — the dream of “easy fast money.”
After 6 months, when their projects didn’t blow up, they gave up — disappointed that their idea didn’t become a hit.
Whenever I asked serious questions about their business model, marketing, or promotion, they got scared. Why? Because all of that requires real investments — in money, time, and strategy.
Most of them quit their projects… and also ghosted me.
Along the way, I’ve faced hate comments, public humiliation, and bullying.
A senior artist and writer mocked my work, saying things like, “Where’s the proof anything you do works?”
When I asked him to stop, he launched public harassment campaigns, threatened legal action, and insisted he was just a “nice guy.”
Right.
But let’s be honest:
I don’t have rich parents, a well-connected godfather, or a startup fairy that gifted me a capital boost.
Unlike Jeff Bezos (whose company ran without profit for 7 years) or Instagram stars with trust funds —
my starting point looked very different.
$100 for one-time ads
A computer and graphic tablet I bought from freelance earnings
Licensed art software
A room in a war zone
And the wild wild internet full of hate and silence
No one wants to subscribe to your page — even at gunpoint.
REMEMBER THIS: Getting followers is harder than gold.
I couldn't afford a fancy website.
So I simply said, “Thank you, Google” — because they have a free website builder no one talks about.
Sure, it doesn't have animated page transitions. But who needs that?
I’ll draw my animations for videos instead.
Instagram started losing users because people are tired of fake rich lifestyles.
Time passes, they stay rich, and you don’t. Why? Because they had a starting capital.
To launch a successful blog or store on Instagram, the entry price starts at $5,000.
They won’t tell you that — they’ll just show perfect funnels, emotional triggers, optimized offers, payment systems.
"Plus-size girl lost 50 kg in a month! Buy our pills now!"
"I’ll teach you how to become a millionaire. Join my course!"
Sounds great — but they should write this up front:
Entry fee: $$$$$.
Then I read on Threads:
"I started earning six figures in a top company within 3 years!"
Well… Did you know that skills don’t guarantee you’ll be hired?
Oops.
Often it’s about connections, networking, and who knows you.
If nobody knows your name — don’t expect a job offer.
You’ve heard that one? It’s only true if someone else is paying your bills.
In reality, here’s what you need:
A full-time job to cover basic living costs (8 hours/day)
Night and weekend hustle (2+ hours/day) to build your business
Years of testing, failing, adjusting, and learning
Nobody cares about your idea.
Nobody wants to buy your stuff.
It takes 3–7 years to build a profitable business.
Try telling that to a client on Fiverr...
It’s like making them eat a lemon.
If you see a successful young person — chances are they received capital, had a safety net, and a completely different starting point.
Does that guarantee success?
Nope.
Maybe that pretty rich guy is just an idiot.
So what should you do?
💥 Be stubborn. Or be clever. Choose your path.
