I Draw an 18+ Comic — And I Don’t Hide My Main Nickname

Once, while working online with a senior artist, he told me:
“Never use your main nickname if you plan to draw 18+ art.”

I understand that warning. I would never want to normalize the idea of “selling love” as something shallow or purely commercial — which is often what adult themes and 18+ art can imply.

And I’m not going to do that.

But denying that adults live adult lives would be strange.
18+ themes are natural for most grown people — so why hide it if you’re an adult?

Why Adult Themes Deserve Honesty

People face misunderstandings and problems in their intimate lives more often than they face conflicts at work or online. These issues can damage self-esteem, emotional stability, and even financial well-being.

Imagine this:

You meet a wonderful man or woman.
The date is great. You share values. Communication flows.
But then intimacy becomes disappointing.
Or the girl turns out not to be the goddess of your dreams.

Many people tolerate this because of social expectations, religious beliefs, or cultural pressure. They wrap sour lemons in bright red candy paper with little hearts — and eat them for the rest of their lives.

Sexual compatibility does not mean treating partners like products in a store.
It often reflects emotional maturity and acceptance.

How deeply are you willing to empathize with your partner?
Or is someone silently rating performance and later laughing with friends:
“She was like a log”?

People are constantly disappointed — both men and women.
They expect long-term relationships, emotional growth… and after the first night together, one partner disappears.

Is that traumatic?
Absolutely.

So what am I actually going to draw?

Cheap fantasies about exaggerated bodies and easily available women for immature boys?

Or a story about emotional relationships — including intimacy?

Probably the second one.
