Punjab Forest Hub provides a single mobile gateway to web-based forestry management systems. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App and the websites opened through it.
Before publishing this policy, replace the bracketed details below with the official developer/entity name, address, and privacy contact used in the App’s store listing.
2. Purpose of the App
The App provides access to the following web systems:
- Nursery Management
- Afforestation Management System
- Forest Fire Management System
- Complaint Management System
- Punjab Linear Tree Enumeration
- Pakistan Plantation and Growth Monitoring
These systems are displayed inside an in-app browser. Each system may have its own account, authentication process, privacy notice, data controller, and retention rules.
3. Information handled by the App
Information the native App does not independently collect
The current version of the native App does not independently:
- create user accounts;
- collect names, phone numbers, email addresses, identity documents, precise location, contacts, photographs, or payment information;
- use advertising or analytics SDKs;
- sell personal information; or
- maintain a separate App-operated database of login credentials.
Information handled by the connected web systems
When you open or sign in to a connected dashboard, that website may process information such as:
- username, employee ID, email address, or other account identifiers;
- authentication credentials submitted directly to the website;
- records, forms, complaints, plantation data, monitoring data, or other content submitted through that system;
- IP address, browser/device information, access timestamps, and security logs; and
- cookies, session tokens, and local website storage required to authenticate you and operate the service.
The exact information depends on the connected system and the actions you perform there. The relevant system operator is responsible for its own data-processing practices.
4. Login sessions, cookies, and local storage
The App enables cookies, shared cookies, website cache, and DOM/local storage so that connected dashboards can keep you signed in between App launches. This information is stored by the device’s WebView environment and remains separated according to website domain.
A saved session may remain active until:
- the website’s session or token expires;
- you sign out of that website;
- the website invalidates the session;
- you clear the App’s storage or browser data; or
- you uninstall the App.
The App does not extract your password from a dashboard or copy it into a separate native App database. You should sign out when using a shared or managed device.
5. How information is used
Information processed through a connected system may be used to:
- authenticate users and maintain secure sessions;
- provide the requested forestry management service;
- process and track operational records or complaints;
- monitor plantations, tree enumeration, nurseries, or forest-fire activity;
- protect systems against fraud, misuse, and unauthorized access;
- troubleshoot and improve system availability; and
- comply with applicable legal, regulatory, audit, and government-record obligations.
6. Sharing and disclosure
The native App does not sell personal information or share it with advertisers.
Information entered into a connected system is transmitted to that system’s server and may be accessible to its authorized administrators, service providers, government authorities, or other parties where required for the system’s operation or by law. Consult the privacy notice of the relevant connected system for complete details.
7. Data security
The App opens the listed dashboards using HTTPS addresses. Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards should be used by the App operator and connected-system operators to protect information. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Keep your credentials confidential, protect your device with a screen lock, and sign out on shared devices. Contact the relevant system administrator immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
8. Data retention and deletion
The native App retains website cookies, cache, and local storage on the device to support active login sessions. This local data remains until it expires, is removed by the website, is cleared through the device/App settings, or the App is uninstalled.
Records submitted to connected systems are retained according to the relevant system operator’s operational, legal, audit, and records-management requirements. To request access, correction, or deletion of an account or server-side record, contact devteam@fwf.punjab.gov.pk. A request may be limited where retention is required by law or official recordkeeping obligations.
9. Third-party and connected websites
The App acts as a gateway to separately hosted websites. Their content, availability, security, and privacy practices may differ from this policy. This policy does not replace any privacy notice presented by a connected website. Review the applicable notice before submitting personal or sensitive information.
10. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for authorized personnel and users of the listed forestry services and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly use the native App to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a connected system, contact us using the details below.
11. International processing
Connected systems may process and store information in the locations where their servers and service providers operate. Where applicable, the responsible system operator should process information in accordance with relevant data-protection and government-information requirements.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, connected services, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will show a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or another appropriate channel.
