1. OVERVIEW
PulseTracker is a local-first music creation application for Android. Projects, patterns, presets, imported samples, recordings and application settings remain on the user's device unless the user explicitly chooses to export or share a file. PulseTracker does not include advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs and does not automatically upload music projects or audio recordings to a developer-controlled server.
2. DATA STORED ON THE DEVICE
PulseTracker may store locally: projects and arrangements; patterns, scenes and automation; instrument presets; imported and recorded samples; app/audio settings; and a cached indication of a previously confirmed PulseTracker Pro entitlement. This information is used only to provide app functionality.
3. MICROPHONE ACCESS
Microphone permission is requested only when the user chooses microphone recording. Recorded audio is processed and stored locally as a sample and is not automatically transmitted to the developer. The user may deny or revoke the permission without disabling the rest of the app.
4. IMPORTED AND EXPORTED FILES
Files are selected and exported through Android system interfaces. PulseTracker does not automatically upload them. Files intentionally shared or exported are handled by the destination chosen by the user.
5. GOOGLE PLAY BILLING
PulseTracker offers an optional one-time PulseTracker Pro purchase using Google Play Billing. Google Play processes the financial transaction. PulseTracker may receive product, purchase, entitlement and purchase-token information necessary for purchase handling and restore. PulseTracker does not receive or store full payment-card or bank-account details. At version 1.0, PulseTracker does not operate a developer-controlled purchase-verification server.
6. DIAGNOSTICS AND SUPPORT EMAIL
Report a Problem prepares diagnostic text only after the user requests it and opens the user's email app. Nothing is sent automatically. Diagnostics may include app version, device manufacturer/model, Android version, selected audio settings and audio-engine diagnostic state. The report is designed not to include PCM audio, project names, project contents or samples. Support emails are used only to answer the request, diagnose problems, maintain the application or comply with legal obligations.
7. ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING
PulseTracker 1.0 does not integrate advertising SDKs, behavioral advertising, Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics or third-party crash-reporting SDKs.
8. ANDROID BACKUP
Automatic Android cloud/device backup is disabled. Users can create portable project copies through PulseTracker's explicit export functionality.
9. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Local application content remains on the user's device until deleted, app storage is cleared or the application is uninstalled. Exported files must be deleted separately. PulseTracker does not provide developer-hosted user accounts. Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for support, issue diagnosis, support history or legal obligations.
10. CHILDREN
PulseTracker is a general-purpose music creation tool and is not designed specifically for children.
11. SECURITY
PulseTracker uses Android app-private storage for internal content and validates supported portable archives before importing them. The application is designed to minimize unnecessary collection and transmission of information.
12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND COMPONENTS
PulseTracker uses Google Play Billing and Android/AndroidX/Oboe components. Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
13. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
PulseTracker does not operate a developer-controlled backend that automatically receives users' projects, samples or recordings. Voluntary support email and Google Play usage may involve processing by the relevant providers according to their own infrastructure and privacy practices.
14. CHANGES
This policy may be updated when functionality, third-party services or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated for revised versions.
