I've recently started a Fire Red nuzlocke (my first one) and decided to use a gameshark code to hack in infinite rare candies. The problem is, the rare candies seem to overwrite my other items (specifically potions and antidotes). This has proved to be especially annoying as I have a butterfree who has just been poisoned and I opened my bag to find my antidotes are gone.

Playing through unbound for the first time and wanted to give myself candies so I didn't have to grind. My money code works just fine but the candy code is not working as intended. The only difference I can see is where the rare candies are supposed to show up, the name is "poke all". B is missing and no other changes happen, costs 200 and just adds balls to my bag when purchased. Seems like the game is recognizing the cheat but not implementing it correctly. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
The lack of a rare candy cheat code in Storm Silver made grinding too slow. This is gonna be a very controversial opinion but infinite rare candy cheats aren't actually cheating. As long as you don't overlevel your team, I actually encourage the use of rare candies, as it saves a lot of time. Especially, in Storm Silver, where I had to grind a ton of levels every time I wanted to replace a team member. There's a rematch trainers cheat code, but that one gives me insane amounts of money after grinding and I don't like it.
I have the same problem. Started happening after I used a 900 rare candy cheat. Cant use medical items in or out of battle. Probs just gotta use a diff cheat or get 999 medical item and throw them all out.
hey ik its been 4 yrs now since this question was asked but i too have the same problem and im just wondering if u guys have any solution. this happened because i used the rarecandy cheat on heartgold. yes, my mistake. i hope you can help me out.
