  • For this vrat, you have to keep a fast from sunrise to sunset on the Mondays of the Shravan month.

There are certain rules which you need to follow for this fast:-

  • On the day of fasting, you need to maintain celibacy

  • Ideally, you must wake up before the sunrise on the day of the fast

  • You should not touch tobacco products or alcohol

  • You should refrain from eating ‘hot’ foods like non-vegetarian food, onion, garlic, or any spicy food for that matter.

  • Once you get up before the sunrise you need to do meditation to calm your mind and prepare you for the vrat.
