This event aims to introduce students to the fundamentals of stellar evolution, covering star formation, main-sequence life cycles, and the final stages leading to white dwarfs, neutron stars, and black holes. It will provide insights into the process of nucleosynthesis, explaining how elements are produced during different stellar phases and explosive events such as supernovae. Participants will also explore the physics and observational characteristics of compact objects including neutron stars, pulsars, and black holes, with a focus on recent discoveries and modern observational techniques. In addition, the event seeks to familiarize students with current research trends in astrophysics, fostering critical thinking and inspiring interest in advanced study and research in the field.
We welcome applications from Master’s and final year Bachelor‘s students in Physics and related fields. Limited travel and accommodation support may be extended to non-local participants.
