I'm a senior economist and machine learning engineer on the Economics team at Instacart, where I work primarily on pricing and affordability. I leverage my expertise in economics, econometrics, and machine learning to help build a more efficient and dynamic marketplace. Prior to my current role, I was a senior data scientist at Instacart.

I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Minnesota. My doctoral research focused on misallocation in housing and financial markets. During my time in graduate school, I also worked as a research assistant at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and the Minnesota Population Center. As a recovering macroeconomist, I enjoy thinking in terms of value and policy functions.

I'm particularly interested in  the economics of platforms and the network effects inherent in multi-sided marketplaces. If you'd like to connect about research, job opportunities, or anything else, please feel free to reach out on LinkedIn.
