Psychology Lab

Open: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm


The laboratory is available for use by students enrolled on a Psychology course. Students are welcome to use the lab resources for research purposes. Students are allocated an access card, if you have not please contact the lab manager.

Rooms/Equipment available:

Cubicle 1: Single computer, sound proofing, glass panels in door for easy monitoring

Cubicle 2: Single computer, sound proofing, glass panels in door for easy monitoring

Cubicle 3: Single computer, sound proofing, larger room, 2-way mirror, video recording available

Entrance Computers: There are 3 additional computers in the entrance of the lab. These computers are available for students to create experiments and analyse the results.


All computers run:

- OpenSesame (version 3.1.2)

- SPSS (version 22)

- Audacity

- QDA Miner Lite

- Microsoft Office 2013


Using the lab:

View the availability of rooms on the lab calendar.

Use the booking form to book a room.


We advise booking more than 24 hours in in advance.

If no bookings appear on the lab calendar then you are welcome to drop-in.


You will find a list of rules posted outside and inside the lab - these must be followed at all times, and failure to do so may result in a loss of lab privileges.


The lab can be found in the basement of Asa Briggs Hall, Kensington Campus.
