Javier Tovar Facio was selected to participate in the First Connections to Sustain Science in Latin America Symposium, held February 28 to March 1, 2024, in Barranquilla, Colombia. Hosted by the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in partnership with Universidad del Norte, the event brought together early- and mid-career researchers from Latin America, the Caribbean, the U.S., and Canada to strengthen regional scientific collaboration.
This program covered travel expenses and featured nterdisciplinary sessions on key regional challenges such as energy, climate, and food security.
