AIM provides individualized services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, including ASD. Some of these services include:
Employment
Prevocational Programs: Participants volunteer in the community to learn and practice skills necessary for having a job. Activities completed depend on the individuals interest and current level of ability.
Pathway to Employment: A one year program in which participants explore various job options to help find what work they find inspiring and meaningful.
Supported Employment: This program begins by helping participants develop and resume and learn how to have an interview. Once a job is acquired, this program focuses on practicing new skills relating to the specific job and workplace environment.
Community Habilitation
Helps individuals develop skills based on their individual interests which help them develop a greater sense of independence.
Respite
This program provides an opportunity for the individuals caregiver to have an often much needed break.
Respite programs can be a full or half day and overnight.
This can be a group or individualized program.
Activities and based off individual interests.
Self Direction
This program allows the individual to independently decide which support they would like to receive.
Supports can include cooking lessons, house care, hygiene skills, continuing education classes and many more.
Residential
Supervised Residences
24/7 support care.
Support is provided for decision making, social skills, and being a member of the community.
Supportive Residences
This program is s stepping stone in an independent life.
Participants live in an apartment with 1 other individual
Support is typically provided up to 20hr/day
Family Care
The individual lives in the home and becomes part of the family of a certified provider.
Day Habilitation
There are several Day Habilitation programs, all which revolve around the interests of the participants.
These are community based programs which involve community service as well as taking part in fun activities in the community.
Some activities may include:
Volunteering at an animal shelter
Giving tours at the museum
Touring the local radio station
Helping at the senior center
Environmental Modifications
