As a result of recent policy changes from the Chancellor’s Office of the New York City Department of Education, our school has created a school-based policy for the use of cell phones, computing devices,
other portable electronics and entertainment systems on school property.
As of October 26, 2015, all students in K-5 attended a Cell Phone Policy assembly. Students were notified with our current school policy on cell phone usage.
Please refer to the outline below which provides specific information on the cell phone policy as it has be implemented at P.S. 195 since March 2, 2015.
The Discipline Code covers infractions and the range of possible disciplinary and other responses for grades K-5 and grades 6-12, including how students/families can appeal decisions.
It also includes the Student’s Bill of Rights and Responsibilities. The guide is available in all nine covered languages.

PS 195 is very big on raising funds for our children. One of the easiest ways to do that is to collect Box Tops. Box Tops are found on a lot of your food products. Simply cut out the logo on the dotted line, collect as many as you can, making sure that the expiration date has not expired and send them into the main office. That’s it. Let’s see how much money we can raise this year.
