Proxi (Proximity Relay) — Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 11, 2026

Introduction

Proxi ("Proximity Relay", bundle id com.proxi.client) for iOS and Android respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. Proxi is a secured peer-to-peer hand-off service for physical goods: a buyer pays on the platform, the seller drops the item at a partner merchant ("point relais"), and the buyer collects it using a QR code, at which point payment is released. This app is the merchant application used by partner relay points to confirm drop-offs and pickups by scanning QR codes. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it secure.

Data We Collect

We collect the following data, linked to your identity, solely to provide the app's functionality. We do not use any of your data for tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

Account & Profile

App Functionality

Payments: Payment card and bank details are entered through our payment provider [PAYMENT PROCESSOR — FILL IN] and are not stored by or accessible to us; we do not collect your card number.

Diagnostics

We do not use any third-party crash or performance SDK. Standard crash data that Apple and Google collect at the platform level is governed by their own policies.

Permissions We Request

You can refuse or revoke any permission in your device Settings. Doing so may limit related features (e.g., scanning QR codes, uploading images).

Authentication

You sign in to the merchant platform using your email and password. We do not use third-party social logins. We never store your password in plain text. [VERIFY: if the web platform also offers Google/Apple login, you must add it here and Sign in with Apple may be required.]

How the Service Works

Proxi facilitates real-world transactions involving physical goods and services (escrow + in-person relay hand-offs). It does not sell digital content, and it does not offer in-app subscriptions or in-app purchases.

User-Generated Content & Safety

The platform may include transaction notes and communication between parties. You are responsible for the content you submit. We provide a way to contact support and report issues, and we act on valid reports. [Adjust to match the real features of the web platform.]

Third-Party Services

We use the following providers strictly to operate the app. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it except as needed to provide these services or where required by law:

Data Retention & Security

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the service and to meet legal and accounting obligations. We take commercially reasonable measures to protect your information from loss, theft, or unauthorized access. The app communicates with our servers over HTTPS.

Account Deletion

You can delete your merchant account at any time from within the app: [Settings > Delete Account]. This removes your account and associated data from our servers, subject to records we must keep by law. (Apple requires this flow to be reachable inside the app.)

Your Rights

Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR for the EU/France), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us using the details below.

External Links

The app may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these third-party sites.
