THE INSOMNIAC OF BETWS-Y-COED
Leon Trotsky passed through here
on his way to Holyhead.
Insisted on the diversion despite
being pursued by an assassin.
He undressed in the dark wandered
down to the waterfalls naked
singing his favorite Welsh ditty,
"Oh I've got a woman
mean as she can be.
Yeah, I've got a woman
mean as she can be."
Colin James has a couple of chapbooks of poetry published. Dreams Of The Really Annoying from Writing Knights Press and A Thoroughness Not Deprived of Absurdity from Piski's Porch Press and a book of poems, Resisting Probability, from Sagging Meniscus Press.....
