Trump has begun to unleash a racist, violent agenda driven by the billionaire class that targets immigrants, trans people, working class people, women, and more.
Signal your commitment with us, along with others across the country, to show up for targeted communities and refuse MAGA’s authoritarian agenda.
We will gather in community, share stories, commit to the Pledge to Protect and Resist, and close with a poem.

Our group has been coordinating together to ask our local elected officials and community leaders to sign a pledge to resist Trump’s immoral and undemocratic acts and deepen trusting relationships with them in the process.
This event will additionally allow us to build our bench of active allies and make it visible that the majority of people want dignity and safety for all.

This event is being coordinated by a group of concerned Denver/Boulder-area citizens, as part of SURJ’s (Show Up for Racial Justice) National Day of Action.
On February 1, 2025, over 50 such events are being held nation-wide, bringing people together with community leaders to pledge support for resisting Trump’s dangerous agenda.
We are speaking to the public to let them know that we will be protecting each other and resisting the worst of what will come under the Trump administration, and that they are welcome to join us. We are letting our community know what we stand for: dignity, love and caring communities.

PARKING: There is no public parking at the Capitol building. There is metered street parking all around, as well as a paid surface lot on Bannock Street between 14th and 13th Avenues.

ACCESSIBILITY: A limited number of parking spaces are available first come first serve in the Capitol circle for visitors with disabled parking permits. Enter at 14th and Sherman and notify the Colorado State Patrol at the entrance to use these spots. Disability placards or license plates are required.
