Privacy Policy for ProofWake Last updated: [31/7/2026]

ProofWake is an alarm clock app that requires you to take a photo of a real object to dismiss an alarm. This page explains what data the app accesses and how it's used.

Camera The app requests camera access so you can complete the photo wake-up challenge. Photos you take are processed entirely on your device using an on-device image recognition model. Photos are not uploaded to any server, not stored permanently, and not shared with the developer or any third party. Once a photo is checked against the challenge, it is discarded.

Alarm & app data Your alarms, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device only. They are not transmitted anywhere.

Advertising Free-tier users are shown banner ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads, and may use this data for personalized advertising depending on your region and consent choices. You can review Google's practices at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Upgrading to the paid Pro version removes all ads and this data collection.

In-app purchases Purchases (the one-time Pro unlock) are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. ProofWake does not receive or store your payment details.

Data sharing Other than the AdMob advertising data described above, ProofWake does not share, sell, or transmit any personal data to third parties.

Children's privacy ProofWake is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
