Welcome to ProofKeeper. This Privacy Policy describes how the ProofKeeper Android application ("the App") handles your information. We believe privacy should be simple and honest, so this policy reflects exactly what the App does — nothing more, nothing less.
2. Summary (Plain English)
The App stores everything only on your device
We collect zero data from you
The App has no internet connection — it cannot send anything anywhere
No account or login is required
No ads, no tracking, no analytics
3. What Data the App Stores
When you use ProofKeeper, the following information is saved locally on your device only:
Item names, categories, brand names, and notes you type
Purchase dates and expiry dates you enter
Photos you choose from your gallery and attach to items
Your item records stored in a local database on your device
None of this information is accessible to us. It exists solely on your device, in the App's private storage folder which other apps cannot access.
ProofKeeper does not connect to the internet in any way. The App has no network access, meaning your data cannot be transmitted to any server, database, or third party — not by us, not by anyone. Everything the App does happens entirely on your device, offline, at all times.
ProofKeeper contains no third-party SDKs that collect data. There are no analytics tools, no advertising networks, no crash reporting services, and no social media integrations of any kind. The only libraries used in the App are standard Android libraries that operate entirely on your local device.
6. Your Data, Your Control
Because everything is stored locally on your device, you have complete control at all times:
View: Open the App to see all your saved items whenever you like
Edit: Tap any item to update its details at any time
Delete: Remove individual items directly inside the App
Delete everything: Uninstalling ProofKeeper permanently removes all data the App ever stored on your device, because nothing was ever sent to us
There is no account to close, no server-side records to request deletion of, and no email needed to exercise your privacy rights — because we never had your data to begin with.
Your data security is tied to your device security. ProofKeeper stores all records in the App's private internal storage, which is not accessible to other apps on your device. We recommend keeping your device screen-locked and your Android operating system updated to the latest version to ensure your device remains secure.
Android may back up app data to your personal Google account if you have Auto Backup enabled in your device settings. This is a direct backup between your device and your own Google account — we have no access to it, cannot see it, and do not control it in any way. You can disable this for any individual app through your Android settings under Settings → Backup → App data.
ProofKeeper does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App requires no account, collects no data, and has no network access, making it safe for all ages from a data privacy perspective. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy in the future, the revised version will be published with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. If any future version of the App introduces new features that change how data is handled, we will update this policy honestly to reflect those changes before the update is released on the Play Store.
11. Google Play Data Safety
The Data Safety section on our Play Store listing reflects this policy exactly:
Data collected: None
Data shared with third parties: None
Data encrypted in transit: Not applicable — no data is ever transmitted
User can request data deletion: Yes — by deleting items inside the App or uninstalling
